The room was so dimly lit for James to make out any of the chicken scratches that detailed the leather bound journal, that he had to get out his phone to use as a makeshift light source.
From the pages that immediately followed the torn ones he managed to make out a paragraph concerning the reversing of the effects of flesh to wax, silver, gold and glass transformations. So excited by the information he had gathered, James fumbled and dropped his phone.
Bending down to pick up his fallen handset, he'd suddenly noticed that the light of the phone screen had briefly illuminated a shuffling leg swathed in waxen bandages.
By dumb luck his dropping of the phone, caused him to duck one of the mummy's attempts to snare him in it's wraps and in the dimly lit room coupled with the three wax mummy's poor vision, James had a brief reprieve from capture, but he had to get the information to Zack somehow so, in the hope that his three would-be captors wouldn't notice the lit screen of his phone from under the podium, he speed-dialled Zack.
It was a good thing then that these friends could connect with each others phones via wifi since there was no reception to speak of in this isolated abode.
Zack however, was having a hide-and-seek of his own with the Robin and Superman figures that were still on his heels. He'd managed to conceal himself in the dark catacombs display, head darting around like a meerkat on full alert, when a vibration from his back pocket nearly made him jump out. He breathed a sigh of relief and fished his phone out to answer it.
"Zack!" whispered a voice from the speaker, "stumbled on something big!"
"James?" Zack replied softly, "why you whispering?"
"Not important right now!" whispered the voice, "found way to turn them back!"
Zack's eye widened with determination, finally he could free his friends from their wax prisons."How?" he inquired softly.
"It's called the Crystal Queen's Jelly I think...I couldn't make it out in this dark room.." replied the whispered voice, "you'll need to injec..." and the connection cut with a sharp beep.
Zack's heart sank, James must be in trouble now and sank back into the shadows to determine his next move.
