After successfully eluding the two evil clowns, Justin and Marek found themselves in a factory designed like a fun house. There were distorted mirrors lining the walls, weird rotating floor boards, and Marek had to superspeed past a trap door that opened under him, otherwise he would have fallen into a twisting yellow slide. Not to mention the place smelled of sweets. Justin checked his watch, were his costume always seemed to magically return itself when not in use unless his manually took it out from the nanotech. It was a plus to having a super genius design your costume. He has Marek doing the same.
"Looks like they'll be in use soon." he wavy haired friend replied. Justin nodded and the blond looked around the fun house. There had to be a way to escape. Using his super hearing, he heard something coming from the hall to his left.
"Come on, I think I found a way out." he said, leading his friend down the hall.
"Whatever you say Superman."
"Will you not call me that. I don't have eye powers or super breath." Justin said. Marek just laughed when Justin held up a hand. "Shh. I think I found the missing people." he said grimly.
Marek looked passed his friend's shoulder, where a big plastic window slowed the workings a factory. However, instead of manufacturing circus gear, they were manufacturing circus acts. In a sense. The two watched as a young man in his late twenties struggled against metal arms. The man was wearing only white briefs.
The arms pulled the man's arms from him and took him to the conveyor belt. The belt took the secured man to a weird pink steamer and then the man stopped moving, his body covered in a thin shiny layer. Justin and Marek watched grimly as the immobile man was picked up and put in an oven like machine. The oven blew out steam and out came the man, only he looked to have shrunken, his muscular physique gone.
The man looked to have gotten younger too. He went from looking in his late twenties to be about 12 or 13. The now boyish man was taken to a final machine that injected something into the base of his neck. As the man's skin got a pale metallic look, he was dressed in clown gear, with the same propeller hat Justin had previously been forced to wear. And then the clown bot was placed in a giant toy chest.
They watched as more people were forced to undergo the same treatment.
"He must be using nanotechnology to turn people into his own army of clowns bots." Marek theorized. "We got lucky."
"Maybe our superheroes prevented the nanobots from affecting us."
"Come on, lets go see if we can rescue them." Marek said. However, as he turned, he ran smack tap into an invisible wall. Justin turned and saw Kid Clown and Mime Jr. had caught up to them.
