"God, this is great!" Wendy twirled off a lamp post, swooning. "Look at me!"
"You look silly." Ty deadpanned, giggling. "Like you stole your mother's work clothes."
Wendy laughed and nudged Ty with her elbow. "Hey, you know, I don't even know your name."
"Tyler!" Ty offered his hand, which Wendy shook fiercely.
"Well, Tyler, you still haven't told me how you did this."
The duo passed some confused adults who mumbled something about 'reckless kids these days' and kept walking.
"You really want to know?"
"Well, yes." Wendy smiled. "It's not every day I turn back into a young girl. So is it a potion? Magic? Some weird ray gun?"
"Nope, nope, and nope." Ty shook his head. "I just woke up this morning and found I could... change things. People. Everything, I guess."
"That's... that's amazing. So you just... changed me? Like nothing?"
"Looks like it!" Ty grinned, and patted Wendy's cheek. "Cool, huh?"
"The coolest." She smiled, and found herself staring into Ty's adorable blue eyes. "Anything?"
"I guess." Ty nodded. Eventually, they came to a bench in front of a hardware store and Wendy sat down, kicking off too big sneakers and leaning back.
"Hmm..." Wendy considered. "Anything. That's a lot of responsibility. I mean, what if you wanted somebody to do something bad? Could you make them do it?"
"God, I hope not! That would be wrong."
"Well, okay, bad example." Wendy laughed. "But say you wanted to do good things, make the world better. Could you?"
Ty brightened at that. "I-I guess I could!"
They stared at the passing traffic for a bit before Wendy let out a girlish giggle and kicked her feet excitedly. "God, look at me! I don't believe this!"
Ty laughed at her pure joy. "I'm glad you like it."
"Can I stay this way? Does it wear off or anything?"
"I think if I let you go you'd have to grow up all over again."
"Hmmm." Wendy clearly pondered the thought for a moment before speaking.
