Luke and Max stood on opposite sides of Mark-Zack and started pulling on their arms. At first, nothing was happening, but soon, Mark and Zack were coming apart, their chest splitting down the middle and back into two, follow by their waist then legs. Mark and Zack were ecstatic, staring at each other, finally in their own separate bodies. Luke and Max both did a sigh of relief, seeing that Mark and Zack were not going to be stuck together forever. Luke glanced at Max and nodded, "I'm going to head home and check on my dad."
"I'll come with you," Max replied, "I'll let my dad know that they're apart now." Max and Luke took off, shutting the door behind them. Mark's grin was as big as Zack's, he reached out and gave him a hug.
"Finally, my own body!" Mark cheered, "Not that hanging out together wasn't fun or anything, but you know."
"Ya..." Zack's grin had faded as he sighed, "I have something to tell you Mark..." Zack went and sat in the living room, followed by Mark with concern written on his face. "It's my fault we didn't come apart before. I was having so much fun, and we never spend time together, and, I'm sorry if I made you worry, but I just wanted it to last longer."
"Hey, don't worry about it." Mark wrapped his arm around Zack's back, "And what do you mean we don't spend time together?! We see each other every day!"
"Ya, but we never hang out." Zack dropped his head down and fidgeted with his fingers. "I know that you and Max are twins, and you have your own special bond. And Luke is your guys' best friend, and you're all the same age so you like to hang out. But most of the time you guys leave me out or treat me like a little kid when I'm with you..."
"No offense Zack, but you act like a little kid."
"Did you ever think maybe I have to so I can get at least some attention, rather than being ignored..."
Mark felt those words sting. He used his free arm to turn Zack's head, and squeezed him with his other arm. "I'm sorry Zack. I'm sorry we leave you out most of the time, we didn't know it bothered you that much. I promise we'll try to include you more. And you don't have to act like a kid around us! It gets a bit annoying, so just be you!"
Mark ruffled Zack's hair then stood up, "As for me and Max treating you like you're little, I don't really see that changing. You are our LITTLE brother after all! It's part of the job! But so is looking out for you, we're the only ones who can bug you" Mark playfully kicked Zack in the leg, who then gave two light punches to Mark's chest, and tried to stand as tall as he could. They started nudging each other until Zack ended up on the couch. Mark smiled down at him, "If you like, I'll talk to Max for you."
"Thanks." Zack was beaming with delight, "I thought it might be easier telling you first, ya know, after being so close for the whole day!" Mark grinned. He sat down beside Zack and pushed themselves together as hard as he could, wrapping their arms around each other and mimicking how they had been joined. Soon they were both bursting with laughter.
