As the dice rolled to a stop, Ester necklace gave a bright glow and a card came out of the board, wary Ester read the card out loud, "Curse Breaker, you may remove one change from any player, that sounds really good but I don't know who I should use it on yet. I'll have to save that for later when all of us are together, this sounds to important to use with out knowing all the facts." Her words echoed to the other players and their feelings were mixed on Ester receiving this power. The mind shared by Richie and Darwin feared that he would be changed back into the men he used to be, physically or mentally. Kari was unsure if she wanted to lose the strange form she currently possessed, it was strange yet wonderful and would serve her well in the game. Angel wondered if it would free her from her horniness and Micah wanted to beg for the lifting of his curse to perpetually change into this scorpion female hybrid.
Without Ester touching their pieces they could only receive and not speak back. Deciding on her course of action and wanting to get the artifact in the woods first, she moved her piece to the border of the woods and received her second card. "You have arrived at the first trap, a doppelganger stands just outside the trees with a knife ready to strike." And then Ester found she was there.
Close to the edge of the forest she felt very uncomfortable, like she'd gained a fear of open spaces and the lack of tree cover made her feel like she was going to fall up in to the sky. Ester looked in front of her and was surprised to see an exact duplicate of her, fox lady with dark fur and all, the only difference being her copy was not wearing her necklace. "Who are you?" Ester asked hoping to get some kind of answer from her double but it only settled into a combat stance. Ester examined the knife being held and it made a palpable aura surrounding it, it was death if it touched her. Far to dangerous to fight then and can't talk around and that left only her abilities. She could not blend with the landscape and sneak past, the trees were to thin for that. Ester's abilities as a fox girl would not help her fight herself. That only left the necklace. The doppalganger didn't have it so if Ester could manage to give it then not only would she be able to escape out the woods but her enemy would be stuck. Ester just had to hope her double couldn't avoid it. For the first time since receiving it, Ester had the idea of taking the necklace off. Finding this an encouraging sign she tossed it at her doppelganger and watched with satisfaction as her copy dropped her knife and put the necklace on. It glowed brightly and then those blank eyes focused on the woods. Ester's doppelganger walked right past her and into the depths of the forest and faded from sight. Glad for her success Ester picked up the knife and watched it turn into a card "Item: Soulstealer Blade effect: any person cut with this blade will find their soul trapped until cutting a new body and being released. Long imprisonment will steadily degrade a spirit. That sounds like it could be useful. I could put an enemy in to the body of a squirrel." The card turned back into a knife with a protective sheath over the blade so Ester could safely tuck it in to her belt.
Ester's fear of open space dissipated and she moved forward and found a cave at the base of the mountain, a sign at the front proclaiming intruders would be imprisoned and killed. Not to be deterred Ester entered the cave.

Micah had traveled down the halls, meeting servant girls wearing see through tops and sheer silk dresses. Heavily muscled men patrolled the halls though every time Micah came near the dropped to one knee and bowed to her until she walked away. It was odd considering how she'd tried to make a play at replacing the sultan but Micah wasn't going to argue with this small piece of good fortune. Micah walked out to the courtyard and saw a group of soldiers practicing hand to hand fighting and drills with swords and spears. They were all human and when they did catch sight of her they all dropped to the ground as well. "Princess," the Sergeant spoke even as his eyes remained downward, "What can we do for you?"
