"We can't go back... who knows what they plan to do to us..." Joe said with a sigh as he thought things over. "I mean, they didn't tell us we were going to turn into pigs or anything, so... I mean, what else are they hiding, right?"
"Right," Jess said with an affirmative nod. "And we all know what pigs are used for, and somehow, I doubt we'd be asked to sniff out truffles or whatever."
"Even if, I don't wanna risk it. I love you too much to see you get made into ham and pork."
"You're sweet," she answers, and then gets up. "Well, we'd better get as many others as we can, then."
"What? Why?"
"You don't think we can make it on our own on this island, do you? No, babe, our best chance at survival is in a group. So we gather a bunch of the other kids on this tour up, and we try to convince them to stay behind with us. We'll make our own little tribe."
"You know..." Joe mused, running a hooflike hand under his chin in thought, "That could work. That could really work."
