Heather's first impulse was to enter Derek, but she realized that her parents would almost certainly find out. No, if she wanted to do this she'd have to do it herself.
Being in a diaper contest might not be what she planned on doing when she got up in the morning, but if it could prove to her parents that she was smart, not gullible, it would be worth it.
That, sounded a little too selfish. She shook her head. She was doing it to help her family financially. That was it. Yup. To help her family financially. She was going to come to the rescue and be the hero for once, instead of being ignored in favor of her younger siblings.
She clicked on "let you enter yourself in the contest." A new page opened.
It said:
That's OK. It can be our little secret.
If you're ready to get your diaper on, we're ready to have you.

For a moment Heather wasn't sure, "get her diaper on"? She was guessing that wasn't just an expression. She didn't have a diaper, and ever if she did ... no, scratch that. If she did she'd wear it. Why not? She didn't remember wearing a diaper, but it seemed like they must be comfortable. And they were cute. You couldn't look at a baby wearing one and not think it was cute.
Sure, she'd get her diaper on. The site had promised it would be a secret, and the free pacifier didn't bother her. Maybe it would be fun to play with, and if not ... it was free. She'd have lost nothing.
She clicked.
The website said, "Thank you, Heather-Weather."
She smiled, she hadn't been called Heather-Weather since she was little, it made her feel warm inside.
That night when it was bedtime she decided to get ready for the contest by playing the part. She put her thumb in her mouth and tried to suck it. It took a few tries, but she got into it before nodding off.
The next day, after she got home from school but before her sister got out, when she had the house all to herself, a package arrived. It was her pacifier. She put it in and started sucking. She didn't want to take it out.
She lay down on the couch and put a kid's show on TV, this felt great. She stayed there until her sister got home. She changed the channel and hid the pacifier in her pocket before her sister made it through the door. Her sister didn't suspect a thing.
