Bob and Kevin were more than just good friends with many of the same interests, they owned four houses, built in various places, like Appleton, Wisconsin, Cody, Wyoming, Mackinaw Island, Michigan, and most recently a new house in south Haven, Michigan. Now then, nobody can live in four places at one time, but being they had four addresses, the happenstance received four governmental letters of special invite.
As to each home address came a letter of invite to be a part of the "Food Chain 2010 Act," and similar to induction into the Army when having the "Draft Boards," if the call came, you went or to prison you would go!
Dear Sir/Madame,
This letter has been sent in order to inform you that you have been selected as part of the Farmland Regeneration Act of 2009.
Extensive details are included in the enclosed booklet, including a species guide and other such details which must be understood by you.
A medical will take place in your local Regeneration Office (_Gaylord,MI._______________) at ____ on the first Monday of the month_____ to decide your new species.
" Attendance is compulsory!"

Presently those who choose Bovine, Equine species, should expect their induction term as not less than five years and or life membership in the Act if they should so chose when their term ends. Most of those entering the Bovine species may expect their term as (8) eight years, while those voluntary to being Equine the minimum term is (20) years or permanency, if when asked they fail to chose the return to being again human.
Other un-named species of choice have (3) three year term duration, and when completed, ALL shall return to their human form, gaining the grateful thanks of a nation, and a monetary reward for service time rendered.
"Special Notice"
Of those choosing to remain animalistic of form, as is on a supposed permanent basis, all of their property is forfeited as gifts to officials of the Farmland Services. This negates any and all personal last will and testament issues, trust agreements, and claims made by next of kin upon the properties, wealth, and personal collections of those interned into the animal kingdom.

Bob stood on the front sun porch of the Mackinaw Island cottage and reading the welcome letter from the government, he then gave it to Kevin. Both friends knew that day would come, each felt somewhat glad to see that someone took the liberty to allow them their preferred animal choice as being Equine. It bothered them greatly to read of what else it said about the loss of all they owned going to officials in the government. The service office of Farmland Security was above all other governmental agencies, even that of the court system. As the news reports stated openly, of those deemed risky or decided as of better use being in animal form, the wealth of their belongings ended up in the hands of those eager to get gain from others laboring bestially or in pain.
Kevin quickly signed his name to the form and handed it back to his best friend, as Bob pocketed the letter, he undecided whether to sign or leave the country he loved, going to live where extradition was not a likely prospect.
Consideration and caution was a dire thing to consider, as if Bob chose to run and hide, if caught, his then given form and placement would be by the hands of those who would profit most by his animalistic situation. He remembered and knew well of a friend that ran, hid and was found, ending up as a Welsh pony working in a sulfur mine and placed there to work, live, and be forever in the dark, dusty depths of the earth.
