Mark drove a little ways out of town, to a small hiking trail. Max's
car was parked near the front. Mark quickly hopped out of his car and
walked up the trail a little ways. Then, he abruptly turned off the
trail. He continued to walk a little ways, until the dense trees
opened up into a small clearing. It was pretty this time of year. All
of the flowers were in bloom, and the small pond looked inviting. But,
Mark wasn't looking for that. He walked a little further into his and
Max's old hideout, and ...there, he saw him. Max was sitting on the
old tire swing that they had hung in the tree years ago.
Max was facing the pond, so he didn't see Mark approach. Mark quietly
crept up behind Max. He knew if Max heard him, then he would probably
take off, or make himself unconjoinable.
Mark had decided on the way up what conjoinment he would use. The
quickest way to get through to Max would be to merge their minds
together. Max wouldn't be able to ignore him that way. So, with that
in mind, Mark came from the side, and tackled Max to the ground.
Max yelled out in shock, but it only took him a moment to get over it.
Max aggresively tried fighting Mark off. Mark realized the Max must
have been expecting him to come or something because he only manged to
merge part of his right shoulder with Max's chest. Max yelled, "Get
away from me! I don't want to talk to you...I don't even want to see
you!"
"Must be hard for you to do that." Mark yelled back. "We kind of have
the same face."
That through Max off for a moment. He must have been expecting Mark to
look like Zack, and Mark used this to his advantage. He manged to
merge the right side of his chest and arm with Max's left. "Get off of
me! Go back to being Zack's TWIN...you obviously don't want to be
mine!"
Even though Mark knew that Max probably didn't really mean it, it
still stung to hear him say that. "I am you TWIN! I don't want to be
anybody else's but yours!"
Max replied in as sarcastic voice, "Oh, yeah! I'm sure you don't!"
Mark glared at Max, "Just let me merge completely with you; then
you'll believe me."
"NO!" Max screamed. He then yanked on Mark's hair with his right hand.
Mark cried out, loosing his concentration. Max then pulled himself out
of Mark, and started to take off again.
Mark recovered, and chased after Max. Mark took a chance, and tackled
Max again. This time, he slammed his head straight into Max, and the
rest of his body matched up with Max's.
Now the two were battling it out inside their shared head. Their body spasmed as they fought. Mark didn't realize it was going to be this
hard. Max was somehow blocking his thoughts from Mark, so he couldn't
show Max anything. It was a battle of wills now.
"Get of my head!" Max yelled.
"This is our head now! And you will listen to me!" Mark screamed.
"NO! I don't even know you anymore!"
"Yes you do! We're twins!"
"No were not! Your Zack's twin!"
"NO! I-AM-YOUR-TWIN!!!!!" Mark finally broke through Max's last
defense. Mark's emotions, memories, and thoughts flowed into Max, just
as Max's did the same into Mark.
