After Mark and Max had driven home, they both walked over to Luke's house for dinner. When they walked threw the front door they could hear pots and pans banging around in the kitchen and saw that Luke and Zack were sitting and watching t.v. Luke turned to see who had just come in and smiled at the sight of Mark followed by Max. Zack took a quick glance over, then turned away, lowering his head and nervously scratching his hand. Max didn't say anything as he entered the room and stood in front of Zack. When Zack looked up, he could see that Max was looking really hurt. "...Max?"
Max instantly bent down and wrapped his arms around Zack so tight he couldn't breath, "I'm sorry Zack."
Zack was gasping for air, "What? Why? If anything, I should be the one saying sorry!"
"Mark told me about what you had said earlier." Max explained, still holding onto Zack. Zack turned to Mark, who nodded his head. Max finally let go of Zack and stood back up, "Come with me for a minute. I want to speak in private." Zack got up and followed Max out of the room and upstairs, leaving Mark alone with Luke.
"So you found managed to talk to him huh?" Luke asked as Mark sat down on the couch with him.
"Haha, ya. It wasn't easy though." Mark grinned from ear to ear, "But he didn't really have a choice. It's hard to get away from someone you're conjoined with."
"Hey! Guys!" Ethan had come out of kitchen, dragging Scott with him seeing as they were was still attached at the back. "Where are Max and Zack?"
"They went upstairs for a bit," Mark explained, "They should be down soon."
"Ok, dinner is almost ready." Ethan turned around and started to walk back into the kitchen, but Scott grabbed onto the door way to stop them.
"Remember, it's our conjoined families dinner tonight," Scott added as he and Ethan continued into the kitchen, "So pick someone to be joined to for the night!"
Mark turned to Luke and started to chuckle, "They really seem into this whole, conjoining thing, huh?"
Luke started to laugh too, "Ya, who should have been here earlier. They were running around all over the place like that. Like two chickens tied together with their heads cut off! They seem to have the hang of it though. Not once did they stumble or fall, but me and Zack still got some humour out of it!"
