"Hello, Federal Bureau of Investigation, to whom may I direct your call?" a lone low ranking Agent inside the FBI's headquarters spoke as her phone was ringing incessantly.
"What are you trying to do with my husband?!" came Julie's voice from the other end of the line.
"Ma'am, you need to calm down and talk slowly," the agent answered, "now what is it about your husband?"
"You should know!" Julie argued, "He told me you wanted him for something... which I can't understand why..."
Julie was about to continue when the agent she was speaking to cut her off.
"I'm sorry, dealing with family's of suspects is not my department, let me transfer you that department," the agent spoke, barely paying attention to the "no, wait" coming through the phone, "Hey, Stan. Can you pick up. I got a woman on line two who sounds kinda hyper."
Once Stan picked up the first agent hung up.
"Hello, I am Agent Brawler, dealing with interactions between the FBI and civilian population in regards to dealing with known criminal suspects," Stan spoke, "what seems to be the problem?"
"You're trying to take my husband away!" Julie practically yelled.
"Yelling will not solve anything, madam," Stan said firmly, "Now, is your husband on the Most Wanted List?"
"No."
"Is he wanted for any crime in which the FBI could legally become involved?"
"No."
"Has he been wrongfully arrested or assaulted by any Agent after being mistaken for a suspect?"
"I hope not," Julie answered, "He told me yesterday that you people had recruited him for a mission..."
"I'm sorry, ma'am, you need our coordination center with local police, not me, hold on," Stan cut Julie off again, "Rose, hyper on two."
The first agent picked up again.
"Listen," Julie spoke with as much tact as she could muster at the moment, "My husband has told me that you people recruited him for a mission to Iraq. I want to know why and how can I get him home without ruining his career."
"We recruited him?"
"Yes."
"To go to Iraq?"
"Yes."
"You do understand ma'am that the FBI holds no authority outside of America's borders," the first agent spoke, "all Iraqi security personnel are being trained by US Military MPs and possibly CIA agents. Any FBI involvement is small and technical, and classified."
"That's what I thought, but my husband said..." Julie bean to protest.
"Can I get your husband's name, ma'am?"
"Frank Butler."
The agent raised an eyebrow, "can you give me the name and badge number of the "agent" that supposedly contacted you and your husband?"
"No, I can't," Julie answered, "I only heard about this from him. I don't want him sent to Iraq."
"I can check my records, Mrs. Butler, but I can not divulge any information to you for reasons involving national security," the agent spoke, "have a nice day."
The agent then hung up.
"I thought Frank Butler was a character in "Annie Get Your Gun"?" Stan asked from his office.
"Could be a coincidence, but that woman is crazy," the first agent shrugged the whole thing off.

Fran and Darla slowly followed Jenny as she lead them back onto the first floor, with Martha bringing both Bart and Kevin along. Kevin continued the carry the copy of "Alice in Wonderland", trying to get the words written in it, but did his best to keep up with the group. They found Jensen talking with a young couple, both seemed to have golden brown hair... or fur-like hair... on their heads about something, but they weren't yet close enough to hear what.
Not that they needed to. They were likely receiving further instructions on what to do when the rest of the staff arrived to insure they either joined the grotesque guarding the estate, the herd of deer they were starting, or directly joined the pack.
"I've gathered everyone, father," Jenny announced as she came closer.
"Very good," Jensen nodded, "this won't take too long. Just a quick introduction of the Pack to Alice and reviewing what will be done with the rest of the staff."
Jensen then lead them into a smaller side room where Kaylee and Marcy were waiting.
"Where is Alice?" Jensen rumbled as he entered he room, finding that the glass wolf wasn't present.
"She's testing her abilities," Kaylee spoke, pointing to a small steal bowl that was filled with water, which Marcy was looking at with great amusement.
"She wears a dress in there!" Marcy said pointing.
Jensen and the others took one quick glance to see a blond wolf-pup wearing a blue and white dress moving about the surface tension of the water.
"Can she hear us?" Jensen wondered.
"Indeed," came Alice's voice, coming from the bowl of water, "let me come to you."
Alice then leaped out of the bowl, without spilling any water, and reverting to her naked glass form. She landed gracefully and curtsied to the gathered wolves. As she looked them over, she saw faces that she recognized. Martha, who turned her into Alice, being chief among them. The only faces she didn't recognize or remember were two blond she-wolves that might as well have been clones of one another.
"Well, hello," Alice said weakly, "is there anything you need, Black King?"
"Nothing at this moment," Jensen answered, and patted Alice's glass head, "I am introducing you, formally, to your Pack. Your family."
Alice nodded. Jensen then turned and licked Kaylee's check.
"You've already met my mate, Kaylee," Jensen then spoke, "and our pack's Omega, Martha."
Alice curtsied to both of them.
"The blond she-wolves are the packs other adult members, Fran and Darla," Jensen pointed out the twins, "and I believe you've met the pack's pups, Bart, Jenny, Kevin, and Marcy."
"Hello!" all four pups said politely as they moved to stand in front of Martha.
Alice curtsied again to them.
"A most fabulous family," Alice told Jensen.
Jensen nodded, and then turned to Bart and Jenny.
"In the meantime, I will need an update on how we are to proceed with the rest of the staff," Jensen spoke, "It won't be that long before they arrive. Once that is done, we can move on to other things."
Kaylee's and the twin's tails began to wag at the words "other things".
Bart and Jenny traded glances and then looked back to Jensen.
"Well..." Bart began.
