"I've made a list for you." His mother said, handing Jake a piece of paper from her pocket. "I'd go myself, but with your little brother starting potty training, I'm so busy all the time. My keys are in my purse, and you can go ahead a take a twenty out."
"Okay mom." The teenager said, getting both items out.
"Oh, and is that a new necklace? It looks nice on you!" She said as Jake walked out the door. The super walmart that Jake's family used was right outside of their subdivision, meaning that Jake was inside the doors within minutes. Looking around him, the sites and smells and noises of a busy walmart were all within what the teenager would expect.
"Okay, lets take a look at this list. I need..." Little did Jake know, the warm pendant was giving off a slight heat, blocked by his clothing, and the necklace was primed to activate soon.
