After standing there thinking for a while, Ryan started to feel a little off balance. He managed to keep himself standing up straight, even with his huge belly changing his center of gravity. He was able to stand until he decided to try stepping out of his dropped pants. Ryan couldn’t even take a second step before falling down onto his front paws with a muffled thud. Standing on all fours was strangely more comfortable than standing upright.
That’s when Ryan could feel that he was growing bigger again. He started bulking up again briefly, gaining both muscle and fat everywhere. His muzzle was also growing a bit longer. The changing stopped at what Ryan guessed was the size of a full-sized brown bear.
The change made Ryan tired and a little hungry. He had to sit down. It was only comfortable to sit with his legs stretched out, and his belly almost touched the floor. He looked around the room. The door was still open, but the light from the hallway didn’t reach into the room very well, so the lighting was dim. Ryan could still see pretty clearly, though, because his new eyes could see better in the dark.
The large room was almost completely empty. There was only a carpet covering the floor and another door on the opposite side of the room.
The carpet looked like it had some intricate designs, but it was too dark to see them well. The carpet had mostly a red and brown color except for the center, which looked like the same color as the golden light. It was obviously very expensive, fitting in with the rest of the mansion. Ryan pushed his large, furry paw down on the carpet then ran his paw over it. The carpet felt luxuriously soft and thick. Ryan could feel the carpet shift slightly beneath his wide, furry butt. He easily smelled the wool of the carpet and the staleness in the air with his sensitive nose.
He tried wiggling his new bearish fingers, but their flexibility a little worse than he was used to. His new paws were big, though, and strong too. Ryan knew his whole body was much stronger than before. He tried to flex his arms as a demonstration, but didn’t see any movement underneath the fur. Ryan realized that the strange golden light did grant his wish, even though it was much more than he would have asked for. Ryan already knew he was going to love this new gift.
Suddenly, as if far away, the deep voice echoed, “Ryan, with this gift, nothing in this mansion will be able to harm you or your friends… as long as none of you do anything foolish.”
Ryan sat there on the soft carpet wondering what to do next. Maybe his improved sense of smell could help him find what he came down here for in the first place? He was also worried about his friends, considering what he has already encountered. What would they think of him if they saw him now?
