"Yo, Jeff?" Wills called out entering the house where Jeff and Jim
lived. No one appeared to be home. He looked around for an anomalous
object, but everything seemed to belong.
Wills headed upstairs to Jeff's room. The computer was still on a big
white window in the center of the screen read "TRANSFORMATION
COMPLETE" and a counter was counting backwards from 50 hours. He read
subject "Jeff" former status "Human Male", current status, "JIM'S
MEN'S TYR SIZE 32 BLUE & RED RACING SUIT". He burst out laughing.
He thought back to the conversation he had had on the phone. He had
heard Jim shouting, and Jeff had said something about his brother
misplacing his swimsuit again. Then he had focused back on the object
he would become for the weekend. He mentioned Jenna Phillips' bra or
bikini, jacuzzi water at the women's health club down the street, a
lawn jockey, a golf ball or handball - he wasn't sure about that one,
and he rattled off several other items. None of them had involved
being a man's swimsuit or underwear.
"Hm, where are you now, Jeff?" Wills asked as he noticed the GPS
locator logo on the Chronivac's control bar. He clicked on it.
"CURRENT LOCATION OF SUBJECT: Being worn by Human Male, Age 19, height
6'3", blonde curly hair..."
"Okay, so it sounds like Jim's wearing you, but where?" He scrolled
down. "Subject moving 55 mph NNW on Highway 45 - I'm guessing he's on
his way to a swim meet," laughed Wills. "I'm sure this wasn't what
you intended. Now you mentioned your brother had some weird rituals
that he does with his lucky suit. Now I think one of them is to wear
the suit all weekend, and I wonder how that might effect the
transformation if he's wearing you when the timer runs down?" Wills
scrolled through the help menu searching for timer related issues
regarding inanimate tfs.
Initially, he thought about calling Jim, but figured Jim wouldn't take
Jeff off, but would probably make things worse for Jeff by eating bean
burritos or something else like that. Still if Jim wasn't home with
Jeff off his hiney in 49 hours and 23 minutes, then Jeff might be in
real trouble.
