The teacher walked toward the staff rooms.
"Wait!" cried out Rachel. The teacher turned around.
"Oh, it's you. Do you need help finding the auditorium?"
"No it's just... I'm a little nervous," replied Rachel.
"You don't want to go to the assembly? It's okay, It's only an announcement for the British exchange students. You can go to my office instead."
They went through the staff rooms, and up a stairway until they arrived at a door ensigned with 'Yoko Hayashi.'
"Is this your office?" asked Rachel as Ms. Hayashi opened the door, revealing a room filled with tropical pot plants and expensive furniture.
"Yes, please have a seat," replied the teacher as they entered the room. There was a table with a tray full of cakes and cheeses, an antique clock, and a beautiful mahogany desk. She sat down in a chair.
"Now, make yourself at home while I deliver these notes," she said, before leaving the room.
Rachel looked at herself in the mirror, at her 14 year old asian self. She was still surprised by her appearance, but was beginning to no longer worry. She got up, and decided to find something to do.
