Eodor took a deep breath. The fate of a world lay on what he was about to say being convincing. In a way, he was glad for the calming influence that Igna's magic had worked on him.
"You are a great sorceress, the greatest of our time and perhaps of all time. The wizards of old were children to you." Never hurts to start with a little flattery. "But no one is a master of all sciences, and you know nothing about politics."
Igna was puzzled, this wasn't the kind of response she was expecting.
"I grew up in a court. I attended council meetings on my father's knee. And I can tell when someone is being played." He raised his voice slightly. "Do you really think a demon princess cares about your happy little fantasy of pretty girls making out under the maple trees? Astara wants you to bring her and her succubi in because she wants to make this world a demon world and annex it to the realm of chaos just like she did Dana's world. She thinks she can use and discard you once she grows powerful enough. Really, Igna, how many stories about people making deals with demons have happy endings?"
