The day for Dan passed in a slow fashion, dragging out and leaving Dan to depend more and more on her sow mind to pass the day...which troubled her because she could feels parts of her human mind simply drifting away, lost forever and replaced by the pig mind.
Evening came and with it a fresh bucket if slops, something Dan ate in a rather greedy and pig-like fashion. Afterward she retired to the inner pen, wondering if the farm girl would close the barn, trapping Dan inside, unable to meet the dog, who he recognised as Duke, at the appointed time.
Luckily, it was a warm summer evening and the farm girl, or any of her relations, didn't close the barn door, leaving it open to the cool night air could drift inward.
When Dan noticed the last light click off, she waited, wondering if this was some sort of trick. And then after a bit, she rose and casually strolling across the out pen, she peered through the laths and grunted out what she hoped, "Are you out there?"
Silence and Dan was almost ready to give out when suddenly a voice she recognised explained, "I don't speak pig. Hold on a minute."
Elated, Dan sat down, staring toward the voice, wondering what it was she was to wait for. A moment passed and suddenly a cat appeared. Sitting down in front of the pen, the cat nodded toward a section of fencing and then said, "Press your weight against that part. And do hurry. We do not have all evening."
Confused, but wanting to get out, Dan walked toward the indicated section and pressing her body against the fence, she asked, "Who are you?"
As the section of fencing gave way, the cat sauntered over and looking Dan in the eye, it replied, "I was the farm girl’s brother. She cursed me into this tabby form because she wanted a pet. And then she lost interest when I wouldn't play with her."
"Quiet, the both of you," Duke's voiced barked out and both Dan and the cat turned toward the direction.
As Duke trotted toward them, Dan suddenly realised that she could once again talk in the human tongue and sensing the question, Duke cut her off with, "It is the first step in how we shall get revenge on those that hurt us."
The cat stood and strolling over to Duke, she sat down and asked, "And what is this plan?"
"Follow me," Duke replied and then standing, he turned and took off across the barnyard. Looking at the cat, Dan thought and then followed after Duke.
Across the barnyard the three tore, dodging from one shadow to another, sometimes hiding beneath objects. After what seemed forever, Duke finally led Dan and the cat into the woods, toward a glade. Plopping down, Duke looked at the others and then after Dan and the cat had finally been seated, he started to talk.
"Despite all appearances, Jen and Kat have made one mistake. When they turned me from Daisy to Duke, they only turned my sexual organs, not the rest of my body and mind."
Standing, Duke turned about and then finally lay back down on his back, exposing everything from his brisket down to between his legs. Peering closer, Dan could see the six teats, but was confused on all of this. Rolling over, Duke looked at the two and then continued.
"Something of their spell is causing me to revert back to being a bitch completely. Maybe it is a faulty spell or maybe the spell is doing what it is supposed to do. Either way, this has allowed an opening for me to act upon. Within a couple hours I will be completely female once again...something I am not really looking forward to....but what can you do?"
Unsure, Dan looked at the cat, who was cleaning herself, and the looking back at Duke, she listened as the dog continued.
"The one good thing about this is that for some reason I am able to manipulate some of their spells. Giving you back your human speech was one of them," he indicated toward Dan as he said this. "But my plan goes beyond that. I propose we assume human form once again, a spell I am sure I can pull off."
Unsure, Dan looked at the cat and then looking back at Duke, she and the cat asked as one, "What's the catch?"
Duke looked down and then after moment he explained, "In order for this to work we would have to become human females. The reason this is, is that the magick we seek to use against those who have hurt us, is only available to human females. I don't understand why I can do some of it, so please don't ask."
Looking at Duke and then the cat, Dan mulled over the options in her head. As she did so, the dog, who was now starting to sound more feminine, explained, "If you choose against this option, I won't be hurt. I understand why you might choose against something like this. And, I know where others are who might join me. Then again, if you decide to go along with it, it might be easier to persuade the others to join us."
Looking back toward the barn, Dan had no desire to go back, but she was torn about the decision of having to be a human girl. As she thought, she heard the cat start to purr and then after moment, she announced, "I'm in," and then turned to Dan, waiting for the sow's choice.
