Friday afternoon. Florian drove his car over the highway, as excited as fearful. He was in the mood to jump in the air. He is going to meet with Kathrin, for the very first time.
He met her on the internet, but never in real life. This would be the first time.
The day earlier, the young guy bought a game in a small shop.
‘A game of Change’… it looked somehow like DnD, the classical role-play game. He thought it would be fun and a good present.
Finally, he arrived at her home, guided by his navigator-pc. One, two deep breaths. Okay, you can do it. Don’t be embarrassed, you know her since years. You never met her, but you know her. Therefore, step out of this damned car, get this damned game, ring that damned doorbell and act like a man, not like a shy boy!
He ignored that small voice in his head, but followed its instructions. In front of the door, he hesitated. AHW, C’MON! It screamed almost in his head. He knew this voice; it was the small devil on his shoulder. He thought about the other side. Seems like his angel was occupied somewhere else. So he rang the doorbell.
Kathrin opened the door. She’s used to be called ‘red Tasmanian devil’. About 5’2”, she wasn’t tall, but he knew better not to annoy her. Green eyes blinked, looked up to his not too tall 5’9” length, and a smile waved over her face.
“FLORIAN!” she jumped in his arms, cuddling him. He coughed, not ready for such a ‘welcome’.
“Hehey. Calm down, it’s just me!” he chuckled, pushing her away slightly.
“I got something for you. “He handed her the game.
“It’s called ‘A game of change’. Seems old, yes, but I thought ‘Hey, such a rare thing. Maybe one of the first Tabletop Role-play games.’ We could play it later.” he offered Kathrin and smiled slightly.
“Aaahhw!” She smiled, cuddling him again, pressing his breath out of the lungs.
“Girl! Do you do PE?!”
