You stumble over your trousers cuff, and land face down in one of the
smaller dinosaur tracks. Your nose is covered with damp sandy soil.
YOu get up on all fours and sneeze loudly.
"No, he's not nearly small enough yet," says a voice.
"Sir, your hand is on the microphone button," says another voice.
"Oops," says the first voice.
Then there is silence except for bird, insect and other natural
noises.
"Hello?" you ask as you get to your feet. You feel your trousers
sliding over your hips, and grab and pull them up. Your short sleeve
shirt now is well below your elbows. "Dang, I must be shrinking like
the dinosaur tracks and the trees." You turn to go back, but instead
to finish your quest. If you're quick enough maybe you'll carry back a
pocket sized dinosaur.
You start running after the tracks. You stumble twice, and finally
take off your pants. Your shirt is hanging down to your knees now and
you use your belt to tie it off like a tunic. Now carrying your pants
you run even faster. You get to the end of the dinosaur tracks. There
is no tiny dinosaur, just a mud nest filled with giant eggs, and one
empty egg sac/shell. It's nearly as big as you are, you're naked
accept for some leaves you improvised on the trail. Your pants and
shirt lie hundreds of feet behind you on the path, where you left them
when you could no longer carry them.
Curious, you climb up on a rock and peer into the top of the empty egg
shell. It topples over on top of you. You climb inside the dark
empty shell calling, "Hello? Anyone in here."
Suddenly, the shell turns upright and you tumble to the bottom of the
dinosaur eggshell. A giant hand lowers the missing pieces of the egg
to seal you in the shell. A bright light glows through the shell
casing.
"Well, that does it. He should hatch normally into a baby dinosaur
now," says the first voice you originally heard.
You feel your container being set back into the mud nest. You want to
scream or do something, but you're too tired. Instead you just curl
up in the fetal position and go to sleep.
