Kyle and Owen were just coming out of Owen's room when Josh left his own. He waved and started to walk down the hall, then froze in his tracks. Kyle and Owen watched as he slowly turned around to look at them again. There stood Owen and Kyle, joined onto one body, one half Kyle's the other Owen's, bare chested in a pair of jeans. His jaw hung down, almost as wide as his eyes now were. He pointed a shaking finger and the joined pair, "D-d-d-d... dad? Kyle?"
"Uh, ya... hey Josh, good morning." Owen shifted uncomfortably.
Kyle stared at the floor, "Ya Josh... this is exactly what it looks like."
"But, how? Why? When?!" Josh had taken a few steps towards them, then a few back, before finally walking right over to them and touching their chest, "So, you two are really stuck together like that?" Owen and Kyle both nodded. "Wow, that's kinda cool." Kyle's eye shot up to meet Josh's, looking confused. "How did it happen?"
Kyle let a sigh before starting the story about the chain, and how he and his dad had become joined. "And now were stuck... forever..."
Josh looked at them intently, stroking his chin in thought. "Maybe I can help you get apart. Who knows... maybe someone at school will know about it. Or a book in the library."
"Wow, wait. You know what a library is?!" Kyle mocked his older brother. Josh responded by giving him a hard punch in the shoulder, "Ow!"
"Dam Josh, that hurt!" Owen took his hand and rubbed the pain away from Kyle's shoulder.
"Oh, sorry dad!" Josh apologized then glared back at Kyle, "Like I was saying. Maybe I can help..." Kyle and Own looked at each other, and before kyle could say anything Owen handed over the chain. It came apart, back into its two pieces, but Owen and Kyle did not. "Don't worry dad, you won't have to put up with him for much longer!" Josh gave his big goofy grin and ran down the hall, and slammed the front door behind him.
"Grrreaaaat..." Kyle said sarcastically, shaking his head and walking to his room, "We leave all our hope to Josh. What could go wrong?!"
"It can't be any worse than this!" Owen pushed Kyle's half against a wall and started to give him a noogie until he cried out, "That... was for talking bad about your brother when he's trying to help you!"
