It had been a week ago that Tyler had decided to see what Taylor's life was like before making any decision about the note. Now, standing in the bathroom, looking into the mirror, listening as the dark house around her settled, Tyler reflected on all that had happened.
Folding the note up and slipping it into her pocket, Tyler had made her choice, but leaving her room, she began to realise several different things about her new life.
The first being her breasts. Taylor, according to Tyler's thoughts, had had them since she was about ten. Grown with them and had an understanding of what it meant to have breasts, while Tyler did not have that knowledge and this point found that they were simply in the way.
The next thing Tyler discovered was how quickly she was able to slip into Taylor's thoughts or start doing and acting much the same way her twin sister would. Bothered, but deciding to let it go, Tyler slipped on Taylor's flip-flops and exited the house.
At the mall, she couldn't find Jeanette or Mandy at first and wandering about, Tyler suddenly realised something was a bit off, but was unable to put a finger on it until Jeanette showed.
Without giving it a second thought, Tyler responded to Jeanette's comment of, "Hey girlfriend," to moving closer to the other girl and then hugging her, to which Jeanette responded by leaning in and first hugging her and then kissing her...something Tyler found herself not only returning, but actually enjoying.
"My sister's a lesbian and I didn't even know it," Tyler thought as it suddenly started to dawn on her how much she didn't really know Taylor. And then Mandy showed up, telling them, "Get a room you two," to which Tyler suddenly had another understanding of her twin sister, which was that Taylor knew that Mandy had a crush on her Tyler, and that Tyler felt the same way, but neither would do a thing about it, which was why Taylor constantly teased both of them.
Taking aback by all that she had discovered in a weeks time, Tyler leaned on the sink and stared into the mirror.
Reflected back, she took in the pink tank-top that she was wearing and how the way she was leaning aloud a person to view her breasts. Looking down, Tyler took in the thong and thought about how she never even knew that her twin sister had taken a ballet class for six months and then, shortly after dropping ballet, she took a gymnastics class for three years, dropping it shortly after her eleventh birthday.
"I have understand now," Tyler thought as she looked down at the note.
After a moment, she turned and walking toward the bathroom door, she listened, making sure that Jeanette was still asleep and that Tyler hadn't come home from his friends house.
Confused because she knew that she was actually Tyler, but was disorientated every time she saw herself, Tyler returned to the mirror and then after a moment, sat down on the toilet, picking up the note as she did so.
Unfolding the piece of paper, she reread what was written and then, without giving it a second thought, began to slowly shred the note.
Immediately the world shifted and suddenly Tyler found himself sitting back in the park where he had originally found the note. Confused, he looked around, wondering if it had all been a strange day-dream. And then the memories started pouring in and he knew that it wasn't a dream.
Looking down at the note, wondering several more things, he folded it up and placed it in his pocket, telling himself as he did so, "If I still can make a wish, this time I am going to choose carefully."
