Leslie rolled a five and advanced to the square next to Greg's orange piece. She hesitantly drew her blue card. Read it with a quizzical look on her face, and said,"Double time? Now what does that mean?"
She said it in a squeaky voice like a 33rpm record at 78rpm speed. (Like a cassette tape with the audio on fast forward for those too young to remember phonograph records, for those too young to remember tapes what are you doing here reading this?).
Nervous laughter filled the room.
"What's so funny!" squeaked Leslie. Her hands moved rapidly in an exaggerated way, like a dvd in fast advance mode.
"You sound like a chipmunk!" Jim said.
"Wait, there's more. More letters are appearing. It says, "Double Speed You Get Two Rolls For The Next Two Turns." I get to roll again."
"Start rolling and stop squeaking," Jim laughed.
"What's the matter with you all, you're talking and moving so slowly. It's like slow motion or something." Leslie rolled again and advanced two more spaces.
