Time flies and before you know, the sun has begun to set and you
realize that you need to leave before the dog's owners return. You
pull from your new shaggy friend and stand up. You then sigh as you
remember that you are still lost. The dog, meanwhile, sits by your
feet, eager to resume its activities with you. And oddly enough you
feel a desire to stay with this dog. However, you are feeling tired
and you really need to get home. You begin to walk away from the dog.
You give it one last glance before stepping through the hole in the
hedge. Eventually you find your way back home, but not before it gets
really dark.
Once you enter your home, you pause long enough to check your mail,
check the answering machine and get undressed. Just as you are about
lay down on your bed and close your eyes, you hear a clinking noise
coming from your bedroom window. You walk over to it and retract the
blinds. Your eyes widen in surprise as you find yourself looking face
to face with the same dog you met hours ago. The shaggy dog smiles as
it sees you. It happily woofs and smiles. Without really thinking
about it, you hurriedly make your way out of your bedroom and to the
back door of your home. You open it and are nearly bowl by one very
exuberant dog. It playfully knocks you down onto your butt before
happily greeting you.
"Unbelieveable, you follow me home, didn't you boy?" You ask the dog.
The dog happily woofs at you, its tail thwapping behind it. You shake
your head in bemusement. "Unbelieveable," you mutter. The dog followed
you home. What are you going to do now?
