You feel a bit dumbfounded as you watch your shaggy friend walk past
you and into your home, you watch him move at first about your kitchen
and sniff around. He then pads into the rest of your home. You shake
your head. What are you going to do? This shaggy dog belongs to
someone else. You can't keep him as much as a part of you would like
to.
You get up from where the dog bowled you over, and walk after him. And
as you do so, you wonder what you should do next. You could take the
dog back right this moment. But it's the middle of the night, you
aren't 100% sure you could find your way back to where he lives. Not
to mention the fact you aren't sure how his owners will react to you
bringing him back home at this hour. They might think you stole him
from them! Taking him back in the morning, or calling his owners will
get you in hot water with them. What to do?
You enter your living room and look around. But you don't see your
shaggy friend anywhere, just his slightly dirty paw prints. You walk
down the hall, checking each room as you walk on by. Finally you reach
your bedroom and look inside. And there lying on your bed with its
large, shaggy head on one of your pillows is your shaggy friend. Fast
asleep. You shake your head in bemusement as you enter the room. "I
guess he'll be staying the night here," you muse.
You feel like waking him up and commanding him to get off your bed.
But the big shaggy dog looks so right at home at the minute. Besides
there's plenty of room to sleep on the bed, isn't there? ;)
So you walk over to the other side of the bed, lie down on your side
and start falling asleep. As you do so, you unconsciously spoon your
body into your friend's shaggy chest. It's forelimbs resting against
your shoulders. Sleepily as it nuzzles the back of your neck. And soon
the two of you are fast asleep.
