You wake up feeling a little groggy and feeling that something's off. Your bed feels like it is straw instead of a mattress. Looking down at it you discover that it really is straw. You take a closer look at the bed you were sleeping in. There was a blanket on top of the straw and another on top of that which you were under. Almost throwing the blanket off you looked at what you were wearing. You were wearing some type of cotton nightgown and feeling on top of your head you could tell you were wearing some type of cap.
Before you could explore further a woman's voice called, "Get up and dressed HannaTrinity. A couple of dragons have attacked Helnorm and were last seen heading toward Elgorsh." When there was no answer the woman came inside the hut you were in and asked, "Did you hear me HannaTrinity?"
"Uh... yes," you said unsure of what was going on.
"Then get up," the woman said. "Molnarsh is between Helnorm and Elgorsh. If the dragons decide to alter their course a bit they could attack us. We have to be ready in case they do."
"Ok," you said getting out of bed. As you did you took a quick look around. The hut had only one room with the bed you had been laying in in one corner and another bed in another corner. There was a table and three chairs in about the center of the hut. There were candles set on the table to provide light when it was dark. It seemed like any primitive dwelling except for the TV on a small table. It was on but there wasn't any sound and it showed what looked like a good sized village that had been almost completely destroyed.
"Hurry up," the woman said sounding worried and looking at the TV.
You quickly took off what you were wearing except for the plain white cotton panties and put on a plain brown cotton dress. You looked around for shoes but couldn't find any. Shrugging you figured that they were outside. The woman grabbed your hand and practically dragged you outside.
Another woman came up to the two of you and said, "I'm sorry Gloria but it looks like Philip was killed in the dragon attack."
"Are you sure Ester?" Gloria asked looking shocked.
"As sure as I can be with the reports," Ester said sadly. "At least you still have HannaTrinity."
As they had been talking you had let your mind wander back to before you woke up. You had just received your copy of Warped Life to test. You had set up your character, a ten year old girl named HannaTrinity with a primary affinity for water and a secondary affinity for air living in her home village of Molnarsh. You had figured you might as well have a character younger than you and the opposite sex not realizing that you would actually become your character. After you had set your character up a swirl had appeared on the screen and everything went black then you woke up here. You started thinking about Molnarsh. According to the information you had received with the test copy of the game it was a small medieval village with mostly poor people.
You were brought back to the present by Gloria saying, "Quit your daydreaming HannaTrinity. Go to the village well and get us some water. Remember to keep an eye on the sky for dragons. I don't want to lose you like I lost your father."
"Yes Mommy," you said figuring that Gloria was your mother in the game. You picked up a bucket and headed for the center of the village. At least you hoped it was the center.
As it turned out you did head in the right direction. You looked around and saw that there was no one around which seemed odd. There should be other people at the well. Getting a bad feeling you drew the water from the well and filled the bucket you had brought. The trip back was a little slower as the bucket was heavier now and you had some trouble with it.
You were within sight of what was your hut when it happened. A black dragon with red horns landed on it and snapped up your mother swallowing her while she was still alive. The dragon then turned it's attention to you and began stalking toward you. You knew you should run but at the same time you knew you couldn't escape from the dragon. You stood there trying to decide what to do. Should you run or should you accept your fate and let the dragon eat you?
