You walk among the isles for a few minutes looking at what the shop has for sale. It wasn't what you had expected. The sign outside said it was a magic shop but you had figured it was one that sold cheap magic tricks. The items on the shelves in this shop weren't the cheap magic tricks you were expecting. There were old oil lamps, bottles, pendants, puzzle boxes, figurines, and other knickknacks.
"May I help you young man?" a lady asked directly behind you which made you jump.
After your heart returned to your chest you said, "I'm just looking around. Thanks for the compliment but I'm not exactly a young man."
"Well you could be," the lady said batting her eyes at you.
The lady looked to be about 26, ten years younger than you. You smiled and said, "I suppose you have something that can make me younger."
"This will make you younger," the lady said picking up a ring box and handing it to you.
You tried to open it but couldn't. Looking at the lady you asked, "Is there a hidden lock on this box?"
"You have to buy it before you can open it," the lady said. "Go pay for it and meet me outside."
You went to the counter where an old man stood. He looked at the box and said, "Two dollar."
You handed two dollars to the man who put the money into an old wooden cashbox. Shrugging at this you left the shop and found the lady in a sidewalk cafe across the street. You went over and sat down at the same table saying, "Alright I paid for it. I should be able to open it now right?"
"Of course," the lady said. "Now open it and put the ring on your right ring finger."
You opened the box easily and saw the ring. It was just a band with a sparkling purple coat on it. It looked like something a little kid would wear. You looked up at the lady and asked, "You expect me to wear this?"
"Humor me please," the lady said smiling and putting a hand on your's.
You sighed and slipped the ring on. Once you did you felt a tingle run through your body. You wondered what it was and what it meant.
