As Zack climbed up onto the bus, making his way absentmindedly past the groups of beautiful and the not so much, his head full of ideas for wishes, changing girls, himself, the world. But as he took his seat near the middle he heard a voice from the back, the popular kids area, where the school's quarterback held his quart with his cronies everyday. Zack frowned and turned, his green hair drawing attention to him as he saw a skinny little freshmen being verbally abused by the big senior, whose name was Jonas. "Come on rabbit! Show us a magic trick!" The kid he was teasing had an unfortunate reddish upturned nose and buck teeth that lead to his nickname. Zack tried to ignore them this morning, just like every other, but as it escalated, Jonas telling rabbit to pull a girlfriend out of his hat, because magic was the only way he'd ever get one, and teasing him for his shabby clothes, calling his family poor, Zack finally snapped and in his head thought /I wish that asshole had to do whatever anyone told him to do./ The wish came just in time, as the rabbity freshmen murmured, "Please stop."
Jonas laughed and was about to say something, but found himself unable to, grunting slightly as he tried to speak, his face a reddening mask of strain that elicited a laugh from one of the seats in front of him. Jonas flushed with rage and drew back, balling up a fist and the freshman cried out in fear, "Don't hit me!" And Jonas stopped. The freshman, eyes sparkling with realization grinned, "Stand up." Jonas stood, broad shoulders filling out his t-shirt and his sandy blond hair brushing the roof. The bus-driver finally noticed the commotion and shouted for him to sit down, and he did, just as she commanded. The freshman grinned, "Never tease anyone weaker than you again, and whenever you meet someone, tell them you're an asshole." Jonas, tears sparkling in his eyes, could only nod in assent. The rabbity boy went and sat down, and the rest of the bus ride was peaceful enough, giving Zack time to formulate some wishes and plan his birthday surprise for his school.
