Tuesday morning.
Only five days left before the horror of going to school as a girl begins.
You get a bit used to the underwear, but you still only wear jeans and mostly neutral shirts. You were really not in the mood to experiment with your female side.
You sit in the den and watch TV when it rings at the door.
You hear your Stacy opening and lost your interest on the visitor. You were still not in the mood to accept your new life.
"Hey, Laura. Can you come to the door please?", called your sister from the hall.
Unwillingly you stand up and go to her. Next to your sister stands girl at your age with blonde hair. If you were still a guy you would found her rather attractive. But now you don't even want to think about your southern regions.
"This Samantha Wilkins. She moved here a month before us and lives right next door.", explains your Stacy, "She asks if she can show you the town since you never left your room for the last...ehh..week."
"You know that I had a good reason to stay in!", you whisper to your sister so that Samantha don't hear you.
"Yeah, but the school begins next Monday. And should at least know where it is. Also I am sure you and Samantha become good friends."
"But..."
"And Mom told me she won't see you until six o'clock."
She talked to your mother, now you have no chance.
Silent cursing you grab your coat and follow Samantha.
"Hi I am Samantha, but most people call me Sam."
"I am Laur..a. Laura Tanner. We just moved in last week."
"I know. Your sister told me. So, what did you want to see first?", asks Sam.
"I don't know. I didn't left the house since yesterday."
"Oh, my god. A prisoner in her own house.", Sam says with feigned shock. "Don't worry dear. I show you what you missed. So that is waht we called 'sky' and that are 'clouds'. You know what: Let me show you my favourite places, yeah?"
And for the first time after your disease, you must smile. Smile about Sam's pranks.
And so you follow her through the town.
