After grabbing a can of soda, the brothers sat back down on the couch, and turned the TV on with the remote. "Okay Kel, what do you want to watch?" Jake asked as he scrolled down the instant movies.
"Oh, how about... That one, Star Wars Revenge of the Sith." Kel excitedly answered.
"Alright, good choice." Jake replied as he pressed play on the remote. More than half-way through the movie, their bladder started acting up. Both could feel they needed to use the restroom.
Kel paused the movie, and quickly stood up, pulling Jake with him. "Sorry Jake, I... we need to use the restroom." Kel took a step forward, but Jake didn't move his side.
Instead, Jake pulled them back down onto the couch. "Hold on Kel, I think going to the bathroom is on of those things we should do separately. We can join again right afterwards, but..."
Kel smiled awkwardly, he knew exactly how his brother was thinking. "Yeah, your probably right; it would be kind of uncomfortable. Okay, lets grab the book." Together this time, they stood up and walked upstairs to Kel's room. With Jake's help they turned to the conjoinment page, and Kel quickly re read the spell. After a few moments, nothing happened. Reasoning that he had mispronounced on the words, he read it out loud again, with the same results.
"Kel? Why isn't the spell working?" There was a hint of worry in Jake's voice. "I thought you said you could read it at any time and it would un-conjoin us."
Kel was also getting worried now. "I-I don't know. I was able to do it when I had two heads." Searching on the book for an answer, he found that the second page listed the rules of the spell. Rules and limitations of the conjoinment spell. The spell should be used on participants of similar height and weight. Participants will only be able to control their respective sides. This spell has a very short range, so the two participants must stand near each other. If on is out of range, one of the participants will grow a second head, identical to theirs. This form of the spell can be undone at anytime. The true conjoinment spell, however, will last for 24 hours. If the spell is cast again, during that time, the time length will add an additional 12 hours for each time the spell is cast.
