"Any personality info is useful. Now, question number 2: Do you have a significant other or boyfriend/girlfriend?" The doctor asked, politely.
"Well, no. I'm bisexual, if that helps. I want a boyfriend or girlfriend but can never seem to find one. The men at my legal firm don't seem interested and the women are all straight." She said.
"Hmm, this does help very much. Next question: Do you believe that two heads are better than one?" The doctor asked.
"Literally or metaphorically?" Valerie said.
"Either way."
"Well, I recently had an obsession with conjoined twins, and two seem cooler than just one. As a metaphor, two people who work together can usually work quicker than one person can alone." She said.
"Ok, ok. Now, if you had a twin sister, what would you want her name to be?" He asked.
"Um... I like Malory cuz it rhymes with Valerie." Valerie said, remembering when she asked her mom for a twin sister when she was 7 as a christmas present.
"Okay. Well, we are ready to begin, the experimental treatment." He said, picking up a jar of purple colored pills.
"Take one of these and your change shall begin automatically." She picked up a glass of water sitting on the counter and took her pill. She felt strange but then felt extreme pleasure. She looked in the mirror as her head and neck started to split. Her shoulders were getting broader too. She felt an eye grow in the middle of her half way twinned face along with another nose. She could suddenly smell things alot clearer. Her head was now more like one face on two necks. Eventually, her mouth split into two but her jaws were still connected. Suddenly, it stopped. She now had three eyes, two noses, two mouths, two necks but only one face, one head and one head of hair.
"Why'd it stop?" She said from both her mouths, her voices harmonizing.
"I guess you need a second pill. Please take another." He suggested. Valerie pulled out another pill and lifted her glass.
