"Dear Dad, went out with Bob to a movie. Be back by dinner time. Your lovely daughter," she signed with a flourish, "Christine." Christine sighed and smiled, secure in her new body. Her former life had been completely swept away, with not even a memory left to show that it had ever existed.
She considered the necklace, safely tucked away in her dresser. No, it couldn't be. She'd just been freaked out by a weird dream. As if a silly necklace could change people, make a girl think that she had been a guy. Besides, it was such a pretty necklace. In fact....
"Chris, are you coming?"
"Just a second Bob," she giggled. Chris grabbed a piece of paper and began a new note.
"Dear Mom, I saw this at a store and though it would make a nice present. Your welcome, your little girl, Christine." Christine left it on the kitchen table where she knew her mother would find it and left the house without a second thought.
