"I was wondering if you had anything that could change someone into...or at least, partway into, an animal," Emily asked.
The woman tossed her arms up in the air. "Do I? Does a copy shop have paper? Dear child, in here there isn't a single thing you can't become. Dogs, cats, mermaids, gorgons, aardvarks, you name it!" She paused, then under her breath said, "Can't remember anyone actually choosing an aardvark, though."
Emily still felt skeptical about the store, but there was a disarming air about the woman. It was enough to keep Emily optimistic about getting what she wanted.
The woman spoke again. "Anyway, animals. You want to become one? Or change others? Like I said, I've got everything and then some. Just say the word."
