Alice was online at the Chinese shop to buy some green tea as he overheard a conversation
between the shop owner and a teenage girl; Bridget she thought the name was. Listening to
them talk about the clown ointment and how to seal in the magic, got Alice to thinking. Alice
was never one to discount the idea of magic. She firmly believed in it and always would. She
raised her son Mike and daughter Caitlyn to be big believers in it too. And it was Caitlyn who
Alice was thinking about now.
Caitlyn had always loved clowns, and with her 10th birthday in a week, Alice was
disappointed that she could not hire a clown for the little girl, but maybe that wasn’t such a
big deal anymore.
“Excuse me, sir” Alice asked, “But do you have any more of that clown ointment?”
“Clown Ointment?” the shopkeeper asked her back. “Yes I have more. Stuff never sell
and now twice in 5 minute.” The shopkeeper walked Alice to the aisle it was stored in and
went over the rules with her that he had gone over with that Bridget girl. Alice paid for it and
went home. She had a list to write with Caitlyn.
