After setting up the board the way the directions had said, they each grabbed a pawn. Each piece was your typical plastic pawn in the usual colors. With all five pieces on the start space, they decided to begin the game. Derek grabbed the die tossed them across the board, giving him an 3. "Dang!" Derek explained. "Only a three."
The girls giggled at his unlucky roll. "That's why you should have let one of us go first. Everyone knows ladies should go first." Bliss smiled.
"Aww... whatever. I'll come back." Derek replied. Just as he was bout to grab his green pawn, it started moving on its own. Almost magically, it moved the three spaces, placing him on the 'draw a card' space. "Hmmm... must have magnets in it or something." Not worrying about it too much, he drew a card from the pile. It read, "Because you just started, you don't get a change."
"That's not fair!" Amber exclaimed. "Did you shuffle them right?"
"He did Amber, we saw him." Mattie defended him. "Anyways lets not worry about it." Turning to Brian, she continued, "Since your to the left, you should go."
Rubbing the back of his neck, Brian replied, "Oh yeah... of course." He quickly grabbed the dice and tossed them across the board. When the dice stopped, it revealed a 3. "Oh man, I stuck on the same space as you." Brian pointed a finger at his friend; to which Derek just smiled. After his blue piece moved three spaces, Brian drew a card and read out loud. "Because you are now sharing a space, it is time for you to share much more." Derek lifted his head from the card, "What does that mean?"
Before anyone could respond, a small flash of light came from the space Derek and Brian's pieces were both on. Their two pawns slid closer together until they actually slid into each other, merging into one. Now on the third space was a single pawn with two little heads sticking up. Derek and Brian shared an alarmed look right before they were slammed into each other by an invisible force. Their clothes shred as their bodies touched and began to merge just like their two pawns. Pain erupted and they slid into each other; it was so great that they both passed out on the loveseat.
Derek was the first to wake after a few moments of silence. Moaning, he rubbed his head with his right arm. For some reason his left side was numb and unresponsive. He figured it was probably for whatever the stupid game had done to him and Brian. Slowly opening his eyes, he noticed his girlfriends standing over him; all had startled and shocked expressions.
