Pushing gently away from Mark, Barbara explained, "I need to get ready," as Mark turned back to the mirror, examining himself in much the same a woman would, but at the same time with the curiosity a young girl would, something that Barbara noted, but dismissed as part of Mark's change.
When she got back from her shower, she found the room deserted and dressing in a pair of jeans, a simple t-shirt, bra and underwear, she headed downstairs, where Mark was slowly eating a bowl of cereal. Taking a seat next to him, noting that he was wearing a pair of her pants, Barbara helped herself to the cereal and milk that was before her. As she did so, Mark commented, "I hope you do not mind, but I borrowed a pair of your jeans," to which Barbara merely shook her head.
Afterward, they decided to walk instead of taking one of the cars and exiting the house, Mark asked, "Where do you want to go?" as Barbara locked the door.
Indicating toward the park across the way, she said, "Let's just walk before making any decisions," and taking her husband’s hand, the two cut across the round, Barbara noting that the way Mark was moving and holding himself was kind of feminine.
As the two moved through the park, a young girl from down the way that they knew to be called Saphira ran past them, calling out to somebody named Jackie as she did so. Looking Mark, Barbara wondered if he would have any memories of being raised as a girl when he fully made the transformation from one sex and gender to another and then decided that logically, he must. As she gazed at him, noting that he was really a couple inches shorter, Mark casually asked, "What's up?"
Grinning, hugging herself closer, Barbara explained, "I just realised how cute you were in this light?"
Mark grinned, not even upset about being cute and indicating the disappeared girl, he asked, "Do you think she is to olde to play with me?"
Taken back by this comment, Barbara looked over at Mark and as if seeing him for the first time, she shrugged, wondering where such a comment came from. And as if to make matters stranger, Mark showed no sign of even recognising what he just said. Putting it out of her mind, Barbara switched topics and instead commented, "Let's go up to the mall," to which Mark happily agreed, something Barbara knew he would normally not want to do with her.
------
For the rest of the day, the two passed it with each other, making light conversation on matters Barbara knew Mark would normally never talk about. And for the most part, she was able to put behind her Mark's comment he had made in the park until about three, when she noticed he had wandered off somewhere while she had been looking at a pretty skirt that would go well with one of her blouses.
Moving through the mall, she quickly located Mark in, of all places, a children’s clothing store, looking at the various swimsuits. As she approached, he picked up on the of the swimsuits and moved across the store, heading for the changing rooms Barbara noted. Stopping, watching her husband, wondering what had gotten into him, pondering over what she had written down on the piece of paper, she made a quick decision and heading toward the changing rooms, she knocked on the door.
"Just a minute," Mark called out and looking about, seeing that nobody was watching them, Barbara replied, "Is everything all right," thinking that everything was not all right and that Mark was acting really weird.
"Yes," Mark replied and before Barbara could say anything in return, the door opened and Mark stepped out, wearing a bathing suit that was clearly for a girl of about five to seven years of age.
What amazed and caught Barbara's attention was the fact that it did not appear stretched and actually fit. As she took all this in, noting that Mark's penis and testicles were still tucked between his legs, her husband asked, "What do you think? Do you think it's cute and I look cute in it?"
Nodding, suddenly feeling out of sorts, Barbara comment, "You look beautiful," as Mark jumped up and down in the same care-free manner a young girl would.
As Mark disappeared back into the changing room, Barbara turned away, watching as a girl looked away, thinking that the young woman had been watching her and Mark, and wondering why she had been doing so, Barbara knocked on the changing room door and said to her husband, "I am going up to the food court to get something to eat. Will you be all right?"
A muffled yes greeted Barbara and heading away from the changing stalls, she quickly exited the store, her mind once again in a tizzy about what was going on.
