“Could you please pass the salad, Nancy?” Nancy blinks, surprised to find herself at her parent’s dinner table. Both her parents and her two brothers sit around the oval table, looking at her. She smiles, happy to be with them again and hands the bowl of salad to her mother “Of course, here you go”. Her mother gives her a heart warming smile, making her feel content with herself. “Now, you have to tell us, Nancy. We’re all so curious, what’s your new boyfriend like? Have been thinking about getting children, yet?” Nancy notices that her whole family is looking at her. She feels a hand on her shoulder, it’s her mother “It would be so nice to get some grandchildren” When the topic is brought up by her father, Nancy’s suddenly remembers the mating with Riley and suddenly feels ashamed and embarrassed. She looks down, trying to avoid her family’s eyes and grabs her stomach. “No… we haven’t planned any children yet” Her father looks knowingly at her mother and smiles, but as Nancy looks up again his expression change to disappointment. “Ok, honey… But I just wanted you to know, that we’ll love them even if their father isn’t exactly what you could call… ordinary” Her mother nods in agreement. “Yes, well he’s a bit on the furry side” Nancy freezes and her heart almost stop… does her parents know? But as she thinks this her father starts rubbing his hands together. “Well, it’s about time to start eating” Nancy’s youngest brother laughs. “Amen to that!” And then lower his head to the plate and starts eating. Nancy watch in chock as her family gulp down their dinner directly from their plates. “W-what are you doing!?” She blurts in utter shock.
Nancy wakes up with a yelp. For a moment she can’t remember where she is, but when she sees her paws stretched out in front of her, she starts to remember. “Hey Nancy, you awake?” She lifts her head and see the two rottweiler bitches outside the fence. Nancy gets up and walks to the fence. Without even thinking about it, she starts the canine greeting act. But in the middle of it she realises what she’s doing and stops with a whine. “What I’m I doing!? I’m acting like a dog!”
“Look, Nancy you’re a very lucky bitch. You got a male and you’re probably already with puppies. You should really consider yourself lucky. Neither I nor Ashley has got mates and several more of the kennel bitches don’t have a mate. But I just wanted to make it clear for you that having a mate doesn’t make you the alpha of the pack. Just so you understand the rules. Anyway we should go now” Lisa barks quietly, ignoring Nancy’s whine. Before the rottweiler bitches have taken their first ten steps, Nancy presses herself at the fence and whines “Don’t leave me! I don’t want to be alone, please!” Without even knowing it her instincts has taken over again and tells her that these bitches are her friends and part of her pack.
