Ben and Greg were two lucky young college studies. Well, at least Ben thought so. Greg wasn't really pleasant about the idea of traveling through the Amazon Jungle. He didn't like walking through the jungle. It was hot and moist. Greg had already resorted to taking off his shirt and using it to cover his head to shade him from the sun. Ben could only laugh at his friend. He had told Greg that walking through the jungle shirtless was a bad idea and that the trees could shade them. Greg disagreed, proudly walking ahead of Ben.
"Besides, it gives me a chance to show off my bod to the natives." Greg said, flexing his arms to prove a point. Ben chuckled before looking down at the map in his hands. They had been given an assignment from their professor to go and explore some ruins. Ben was excited about going down into the jungle. He liked adventures where they got to explore new places.
"Hey, do you think we'll probably find something cool? Like treasure?"
"I don't know Greg," Ben said, his green eyes scanning the map. "It says here there should be a fork in the road some where."
"The road? Ben, we're in a jungle. THere is no road," Greg commented. "You don't think we're lost do you?"
Ben started to blush slightly before covering his face with the map.
"We're not lost. We're...we um..."
They were lost.
However, they wouldn't be lost for long. Because before Ben could start to freak out about being lost, Greg spoted something through the underbrush. Pushing past from of the bushes, Greg found what they were looking for. A beautiful ruin with broken statues in front of the missing door.He turned to Ben with a mischievous smile.
"Oh Ben, look what I found."
Ben stopped and looked out behind his friend to find the ancient ruins they were looking for.
"Alright Greg!" Ben cheered, patting his shaggy haired friend. "You found it."
"I'm awesome I know. Now lets go find some treasure!" Greg cheered before slipping his shirt back on and hopping over the underbrush. Ben followed his friend and they both went towards the ruins, unaware of the horror that would befall them.
