You follow the path to a very swampy area. You think you see something move in the water, but you realize that you are just being paranoid. The path leads you dangerously close to the water, but you don't feel any danger so you continue on. A large alligator lunges from out of the water at you. You narrowly miss being chomped on. The alligator continues to lunge at you and you continue to dodge him. You slip on some pond scum, and the alligator manages to bite you. You feel death is near, but instead of killing you, the alligator slinks back into the water. You are confused at what just happened. You try to get up, but the bite on your leg is in a large amount of pain, so you decide to wait here for it to subside. You doze off and wake up a half hour later. Your leg is feeling a lot better, except that it is itchy. You pull up your pant leg and discover blackish green scales where you were bitten. The scales start to climb up your leg, which seems shorter as does your arm. Your arms and legs shrink into your body as you become covered in the scales. Your finger and hands shrink and each finger is tipped with a wicked claw. A massive tail rips its way out of your rear. Your mouth elongates and fills with nasty-looking fangs as your eyes turn into a reptilian slit. You realize that your mate is gone and slink into the water to find her.
