after half an hour of walking. the two of you reached the dirt road leading to the city. upon reaching it you were greated by a traviling salesmen. "hello there." he says. "well, well, this is a strange site i see. a young man and woman out of the company of an elder. vary well dressed, possibly nobles just out for a stroll. but again i ask? why no escort? are you perhapse young lovers eloping. either way i suppose it's none of my buisiness. unless you have a reward on ya's." you carefully thought out your reply. the old man was vary strange. and considering you were in a fantasy story anything could happen. however before you could answer amanda spoke up. "actually yes, we are lovers running away from our families. but as far as weve heard there is no bounty for us." "a shame." he answers. " you see my shop was recently destroyed in an attack by that horrible dragon." "really." you say. "tell me more." "we'll." he replys getting closer. "there is word that the king is calling for warriors and wizards to compeat in a contest to see who will rescue the princess and slay the beast." "thanks for the info" you say. "oh but, whats todays date?" you ask. "why its, april 7th, 1377." "thank you." you say. "no problom, by the way, would you like to buy somthing?" "maybe later." amanda says. "oh, all right. maybe if we see each other in the city." "sure. come on you." amanda says pulling on your arm. "lets go." you all reach the city gate at the same time. it is huge and made of iron that will most likly go up when opened. there were statues on either side of the gate. they looked like men in armor. but you could'nt see their faces. on the walls their were gaurds patroling, armed with what looked like bronze sniper rifles. their were 5 gaurds at the gate on the ground. the one who must've been their comander came toward you. "stop right there." he says "state your names, and your buisiness in imperial." "we are here to speak to the king about slaying the dragon." you answer. "oh realy." he says. "and what exactly do you think makes you eligable." you were starting to get annoyed. who did this guy think he was. "you know." you start off. "i wish that you would just stop being so stuck up, and let us in." the ring worked it's magic and the gaurd ordered the gate opened immediantly. "that was smart." amanda commented as you walked into the city.
