After hanging up the phone, Valerie went downstairs to grab a banana before she left to merge up with Jaundice. It was quiet downstairs since both her parents had already left for work. She quickly grabbed her fruit breakfast and headed out the door. It did not take long before she was at the corner of her street and the street that Jaundice's was on.
While waiting for her friend, she looked around taking mental images of all the people around her. It was still kind of weird for her to accept merging as part of daily life. Some of the things people tried were really odd. Just across the street was Jeffery, another friend of her's from school, running his dog... or rather running with his dog in the local dog park. "I have to take a picture of this!" She excitedly said to herself. Valerie quickly pulled out a camera, the one she used for her photo class. She aimed and took a couple pictures of the two-headed boy-dog as they bounded through the park. Jeffery would throw a ball and then the two would run after it. This would go great with her 'weird merges' scrapbook.
Finally, Jaundice came running down the side walk. "Sorry" she apologized through her last mouth full of toast.
"That's alright" Valerie replied. "If you had been on time, I would have missed this." she pointed to the dog park where Jeffery and his golden retriever were. Now, the two weren't working together quite so well. Jeffery was trying to grab something from his backpack, with the one arm he had control of, while his dog had spotted a squirrel and was attempting to go after it. "Samson Stop! It's just a squirrel. We can chase it later! Samson!"
Valerie and Jaundice shared a laugh as they watched Jeffery try and control his other half. "Okay" Jaundice said, just barely getting control of her laughter. "You want merge now?"
