"I'm.... I'm going to stay," you say as conviction grows in your voice.
"Glad to hear it," Lucy says with a grin. "Make yourself comfortable, huh? Don't mind the smells too much either. Yours might be one of them soon."
A faint blush graces your cheeks at that insinuation, but you nod to the girl in response.
Heading over to where you saw her get a drink, you snatch up some bottled water, uncertain if anything stronger is wise this early. Your long-nailed fingers curling around the plastic bottle, you turn towards...
...the pelts. They aren't all that unlike the one you found in your room, save that these have been a bit more broken in. There isn't really any other furniture in the room as far as seating, and thus it dawns upon you that this is really your only choice for cooling your heels, unless you feel like standing around until nightfall. Approaching, your nostrils flare at the musky scents, a warmth seeping into your limbs. Easing your suddenly tense body down to sit amongst them, it's hard to shake the inviting feel as they brush against your fingers. Looking down at yourself amid the fur and stone, you let out a chuckle at how fitting it all seems, your new wardrobe just a bit barbaric and matching your surroundings.
Your reverie is broken by the sound of footsteps coming down the stone hallway, and your eyes dart to the doors. Peering as they open, you recognize the two that enter. A freckled brunette and a redhead, staff of the resort.
"Well well," the brunette says as her eyes scan the room, "what do we have here? I told you she'd bite, Greta."
The redhead snickers in response. "I think all this fixation on whether she's a biter is wishful thinking on your part, Nina."
"Not... not like that!" Nina stammers, her speckled cheeks flushing.
"Of course not," Greta laughs, "that's a bit more what I like."
"You know," you say to both of them from across the room, "I can hear you just fine."
"You would by now, wouldn't you?" Greta grins, making her way over. "Now ask me if I care if you hear me."
"Oh, don't be so mean to her, Greta."
"I think she can stick up for herself, Nina. See? She's already doing fine..."
