Although Jeff had always been fascinated with the thought of being transformed into an inanimate object, he was at a total loss to choose what form he wanted to take. Did he want to become a large appliance, like an oven or refrigerator? Or perhaps something less conspicuous, a tiny object, like a paperclip, or a thumbtack? Even the thought of being reduced to a particle of dust or a strand of hair aroused him slightly.
The program had settings for all kinds of details, including the duration of the transformation, the level of sentience he would have while transformed, as well as a number of settings to change reality around him. In addition, he could choose a location to be transported to after the changes were complete and it even gave him the option to set an amount of time at which he would be transported back to his room before the transformation was reversed.
After considering all the options available to him, a crazy thought occurred to him. . . What if he were to set ALL the options to random and hit "Transform"? That would mean not only would the object he became would be chosen randomly, but the amount of time he would be forced to remain in that form could be set to anywhere from an instant to an eternity! However, that uncertainty seemed to arouse Jeff even more. He was greatly intrigued by the concept, and was curious to see how it would play out if he went for it.
Making up his mind, Jeff began filling out the specifications of his transformation. Once everything had been set to random, He clicked on the "Transform" button.
To his surprise, yet another screen popped up. This screen contained a warning, which read:
"Dear User: The specifications you have selected on the previous screen have prompted us to send you this warning. Although the details of your transformation are entirely up to you, it is advised that you set a definitive duration for your transformation. Failure to do so may result in the inability to be restored for various reasons. Any alterations including, but not limited to, the following may hinder, or prevent entirely, restoration of you current form:

or
Any action which renders you unrecognizable or unusable
Please take this warning into consideration and revise your settings by clicking the 'Return' button on your screen. If you are certain your current selection is what you wish to use, proceed by clicking 'continue'. Enjoy your transformation experience and thank you for using Chronovac."
