The man is dressed in a military uniform! He approaches and asks you what you were doing in such dangerous waters naked. You tell him your story of the island and of what nearly happened to you and what undoubtedly is happening to others even as you speak. The man shakes his head saying
“Then it’s true.” It seems that they have been on patrol searching for the island. A large number of people have gone missing, all who were last seen boarding a ferry reported to be heading for the island. You sit up asking what they are going to do. He stands at attention and sums it up in one sentence
“Were going to put an end to this”. You smile, knowing that these people are going to put an end to the horrors that are going on there. But you worry about all of the innocent people who are still human and running out of time and about the innocent people trapped in the bodies of beasts. If they were to bomb or raid the place, these people could get caught in the crossfire. You slowly stand up and relay these concerns to the man. He says that they have ships ready to evacuate the victims of the island and that once they are secured, they will ‘move in’.
A part of you is happy that this is all about to come to and end or is it? If the island has existed for this long, certainly they must have defenses against such things and certainly any one with the power to turn people into donkeys is capable of defending themselves. When you ask the man about this, he says........
