Kevin and Kyle were now sprawled out in the backyard of Kyle's house. Right after they had joined, Kevin and Josh's mom had pulled into the driveway. Josh volunteered to stall her, giving Kevin and Kyle a chance to escape out the back. It was incredible; the two had no coordination at all but they managed to slide down the stairs from the second floor, crawl across the hard tile floor, through the backyard, over the fence and into the yard beside it.
Kyle and Kevin laid there; limbs sprawled out on the grass, exhausted. Their heart was pounding a mile a minute, and they were breathing in huge amounts of air almost as fast for their oxygen starved lungs. Their body was covered with bruises and scrapes from all the falls the two had. After recovering some, they managed sit up and to turn their heads toward each other, so they could glare daggers at the person they hated the most right now.
"This is all your freaking fault!" Kevin finally yelled. He was tired, in pain, and not in a good mood, as he pointed a finger right in Kyle's face. "Why the hell did have to bring Jake in on your little conjoining curse? If had to join with you just so he wouldn't have to."
"Get that thing out of my face." Kyle slapped Kevin's hand out of the air. "Its not my fault I was joined to Josh; it was my stupid brother's fault. I already told you that."
"Not my fault!" Kevin mimicked him. "You had just said that you willingly stayed attached to my brother after you had gotten these, you perv." Kevin shoved the two-headed eagle chain into Kyle's face.
Kyle slapped Kevin's hand away again. "Don't call me that; I am not a perv." Kyle shoved Kevin's side hard. They started flailing and rolling around on the grass, throwing punches when they got the chance. Their already torn clothing started rip and tear even further.
They continued pushing and shoving each other across the grass until a voice caught their attention. "Kevin... Kevin... are you out here?" Kevin forced them onto their back so they could sit up again. Kevin's face lost all its color. It was his mom.
"Fuck" Kevin said under his breathe. "I can't let her seem me like this." Kevin pointed to a tree just a few feet away. It was surrounded by bushes so no one would be able to see them. He started to crawl over to there, but Kyle was resisting him, pulling the other way. "What the hell are you doing? She's going to see us."
"Good!" Kyle whispered back. "You'll get caught with a perv like me!"
Kevin growled; he didn't have time to argue. Using his stronger muscles, Kevin launched their body toward the tree. They rolled the rest of the way, into hiding. Kevin then held Kyle's mouth shut, until he was sure his mom had gone back inside.
"Look, I only stayed attached to your brother because... he's a cool kid. Surprisingly, we had a few things in common, like our dislike for our older brothers." Kyle glared. "Jake still thinks of you high enough, but he's starting to realize how mean and harsh you can be. Just like I did with my brother."
Kevin couldn't think of anything to fire back. Kyle's word had hit hard because he had been treating Jake harshly lately. "Let's just get inside your house."
