After a long moment of weighing your options, you decide that becoming a
dragon would be the best choice. Becoming an animal servant didn't appeal to
you and who knew what thus dragon would have in mind fir a human slave.
"I want to be a dragon," you tell him.
He sets you down on a shorter pile of treasure so that you are at eye level with
him. He seems to be pondering the decision you have made and is staring you
down again. When he spoke, it was with a doubtful tone.
"Tell me, human, what do you know about dragons?"
"Well," you answered, "They are reptiles that fly, breathe fire, protect treasure,
and have magic powers."
"Hm," the dragon seemed thoughtful, "Your answers are somewhat right. But
before I can allow you to become a dragon, you must learn a bit more about
them."
"You see," he continued, "Dragons are actually a hybrid of reptiles and
mammals. They are reptilian in appearance and many characteristics.
However, they are mammalian in the facts that they have fur, are warm-
blooded, and give live birth. We do fly, but our wings are only for steering. We
use a combination of wind currents and our magic to achieve aviation. So,
obviously, we are very magical creatures. But that's another whole lesson. As
far as breathing fire, we do not create the fire in our stomachs. The fire is
created by the release of methane gas formed by the digestion of our food
which is then stored in a special organ. We then release this gas at will to
provide fuel to a spark which we make by striking our rough teeth together.
That is why it sounds like a stove lighting when we breathe fire. Treasure is a
common misconception. We are a breed designed to protect anything. This
could range from treasure, to a powerful artifact, to a fortress. However, most
dragons find this work dull and live more natural lives."
"So," he concluded, "Are you sure you want to become a dragon? As powerful
and magestic as we are, there will be a lot to learn if you become one."
"Yes," you respond, "I want to be a dragon."
"Very well," your captor said.
As soon as these words left his mouth, a golden light came from his body and
engulfed you. Though you could not see anything through the glare, you felt the
strange yet somehow pleasurable sensation of your body being reformed. You
grew until you were 12 feet as well. Your head was stretched into a serpentine
shape as your neck enlongated to become more prehensile. You felt your body
bulk up and become more shapely while new power surged into your growing
muscles. Your arms and legs reshaped as a second set of limbs emerged from
your shoulderblades. They turned into powerful wings as a tail pushed out from
your extending backbone. A strange feeling in your crotch alerted you that your
manhood was becoming internal, but also much larger. Final changes were
made and the light vanished as quickly as it had appeared.
Once the golden light subsided, you looked upon your new body in awe and
amazement. You were an exact copy of the blue dragon, but you were a jade
green with a bronze mane. You gingerly tested your new limbs and body, the
other dragon watching you amused.
"Well, now that you are a dragon," he stated, "There are many things you must
learn. But, first, I believe introductions are in order. My name is Cobalt."
"Axel," you reply.
"Very well, Axel, then there are some things you must know about dragons.
First off, magic. Every creature has some amount of magic in them. You
humans explain this with phrases such as 'coincidence' and 'good luck'.
Dragons are by far the creatures most in-tune with their magic. You can do
pretty much anything you like. However, dragons have a magical check on
them that kills any who try to misuse their power. Second, your body. It is much
stronger than it appears. Even the weakest of dragons can rip large trees from
the ground, and as I have made you in my likeness, you can do much more
than that. You may also notice that your reproductive system has changed.
Dragons are equipped with two hemepenes as well as four testicles. Your tail
and neck are completely prehensile and you still have opposable thumbs. Your
claw are retractable and harder than diamond. Third, since I have created you,
you are bound to me by magic and unbreakable bonds. My domain is your
domain, my treasure is your treasure, etcetera, etcetera. You are, in essence,
my clone. Finally, you may notice some mental changes. Dragons are
protective of their homes, honorable in all matters, and wary of humans. They
are loyal to those they befriend and do not hate. And, Axel..." he finished, "If
you suddenly find yourself attracted to me, don't try to fight it. Dragons are
bisexual and are quite lustful creatures. But breeding season is only in the
summer and there are usually a few females within my territory."
Trying to take all this in at once, you are amazed at everything dragons have to
think about. Cobalt just returned to his former position and laid down. Before he
fell asleep, he gave you one last word of advice.
"Get some sleep. You have a lot to learn tomorrow as well," he told you, "...And
summer starts in three days."
