Matthew thought for a moment. Making Mark just disappear would be easy, but he wanted to be true to his word. Otherwise, wouldn't
he become one of the massive jerks he loathed ever so much? He made the decision to separate Mark and Walter into two separate
bodies.
"Alright Mark." said Matthew, "First, I'll need to put you into a trance."
Mark, in Walter's body, stared at Matthew, kind of scared, but nodded. After all, there wasn't much he could do if he wanted his former
glory back.
Matthew smiled, and put Mark into a trance. "Now, who are you?" he asked.
"Walter and Mark." said the entranced body in a median of the two voices. "We are one."
"And do you want to be one?"
"No!" exclaimed Mark's voice.
"Very well. Now, listen. You're going to divide now, into two seperate Walter's each with one of the two minds. Afterwards, you will look
identical."
After Matthew said that, the body started ripping apart in the center. 'It's like asexual reproduction.' noted Matthew in his thoughts. The
body split straight on into two bodies, and then started growing the features they were missing. Soon there were two Walter's standing in
front of him.
"Now, which one of you has Mark's mind?" asked Matthew.
The one on the right piped up, "Me. I do." he said, in Mark's voice.
"Allright, good. Do you remember your old body, and your old life?" he asked.
"Yes." replied Mark, monotone.
"And I'm assuming you want it back?"
"Yes."
"Well, I'll grant that to you." said Matthew. "Your body will morph back to Marks, and people will remember you."
Walter's pathetic body grew in height and muscle, and his features changed dramatically. Soon, Matthew was looking up at Mark's head.
"But, we'll need to adjust your personality a bit. First, you won't be a jerk at all, to anyone, if you try, you'll find yourself incapable.
Second, you will hang out with our clubs twice a week. You'll be friendly and sociable. There's nothing wrong with people like us, and
you need to learn that. Lastly, you won't be the team captain anymore." said Matthew, correcting the paradox. "You'll have to earn that
again, and you might be able to, being in Grade 11 and all. Now, when I clap, you'll wake up, but remember everything."
Matthew clapped.
"Matthew, thanks." said Mark. "To be honest, I didn't think you'd do it. But for some reason, I feel like I owe you. Let's be friends."
Matthew stifled a laugh. Those words he never expected to hear. "Well, Mark, don't you think you should go find Brandon and see his
reaction?"
"Hmm... sounds like a good plan to me." said Mark. "See you around."
He left, and Simon was wondering what to do with the watch Mark had left him.
