Jeff's last stats flashed as those of a pickpocket as the computer faded from existence-taking the Chronivac with it. Jeff looked down as he began to change into his new form. His clothes changed from his loose fitting t-shirt and blue jeans to a rough cotton tunic and a pair of cotton pants. His shoes morphed from engineered tennis shoes to medieval boots. His hair grew longer and dirtier. Within seconds he had transformed from a 21st century teen to a medieval pickpocket. Jeff also remembered facts about the Adventurers, the nearby forest, and various hiding places throughout the Thayluric Bowl.
Sometime during all of this recollection, a peasant had noticed Jeff standing on the roof.
"Oy! Get down from there ya stupid boy!" he shouted. Jeff looked down at him.
"What are you doing up there?!" By now he was starting to attract a crowd. Jeff quickly jumped to the street and apologized profusely to the peasant (who apparantly owned the cottage he had been standing on). After the peasant had left Jeff decided to walk around the village. He established his bearings and was practicing his newfound skills in theft when He noticed someone following him in the crowd. Upon closer observation, Jeff realized he was being followed by....
