As Rachel shivered in fear, she heard something to her right. Turning, she saw Dustin in the girls locker room. He quickly motioned to her, not daring to speak for fear of alerting the werewolves on the other side of the gym. Rachel inched towards him, not wanting to attract the attention of the werewolves. Once she got to the end of the bleachers, she prepared to sprint. she was glad that she had the record in the 100 meter sprint, as some of the werewolves were starting to look her way. readying herself, she counted. 1,2,3 GO! Rachel took of and slid into the locker room just as Dustin closed the door and locked it.
"your...pant, pant...not...pant...supposed...to...be in here" Rachel said jokingly while trying to catch her breath.
"That doesn't matter anymore, all that matters now is breaking out and getting to the science wing." Dustin replied
Rachel looked at him quizzically
"In the science wing we have a chance to make potions and stuff to try to make the werewolves human again." Dustin explained.
Rachel nodded her head in agreement
"Also",he continued, "I know that one of the science teachers, the biology teacher I believe, has a set of silver dissecting tools if all else fails."
"All right", Rachel agreed,"That sounds like a good plan. But first, we need to break out of here."
"Exactly" Dustin said, handing Rachel a metal lacrosse stick, and taking one for himself as well.
As they took positions near the door, their eyes met, and silent understanding passed between them. If either of them got bit, well...the other would do them the favor of death.
"Ready?" asked Dustin.
"Ready." replied Rachel
They swung open the door and charged into the gym.
