Dustin dashed after Janet as she ran out of the classroom in fear, noticing she was making a beeline for the girls' bathroom. Dustin had almost caught up to her when
the door to the bathroom slammed in his face. Dustin listened at the door, hearing Janet's frightened panting, and other girls in the bathroom walking up to her, trying to
console her. Then he heard a sound like Janet retching, followed by the other girls giving scared gasps of their own. Then he heard Janet's breathing grow raspy,
husky, almost savage sounding. Finally, he heard cries of pain from the other girls.
This was NOT good, Dustin decided, and he frantically clutched at the door, whipping it open.
He couldn't have been prepared for what he saw.
There stood Janet Wolfe, naked save for the shredded rags that were once her clothes. For any teenager, this might have been a welcome sight, save for how Janet
had changed.
Her raven-black hair had grown wild, cascading down to waist length in a tangled mane. Her arms and legs were covered in a shaggy, lustrous growth of black fur,
and her fingers and toes had grown gnarled, pawlike, tipped in sharp claws. A bushy wolfish tail swished behind her, giving her last name an altogether more literal
cast. Her change didn't seem to be continuing, and she hadn't become as bestial as Ty, being still noticeably femininely shaped, her face not succumbing to a muzzle.
Her nose had darkened slightly and turned up mildly, but it was still her face there, wreathed by twin tufts of black fur on her cheeks and dominated by piercing amber
eyes.
The other girls, a brunette, a redhead, and a blonde, had been bitten, and were writhing on the floor in pain.
No, Dustin corrected himself, they were changing too. Janet was CONTAGIOUS.
Dustin almost panicked then and there, but Janet seemed distracted by the girls she had infected, watching over them as they sank into savagery, clawing at their
clothing with frustration.
This is Ty's doing, Dustin thought, even though Ty probably doesn't know he's doing it. In Ty's feral state, he still wanted Janet Wolfe, and the only way he could have
her was if she was a werewolf too.
The other three scrambled to their feet, now Janet's packsisters, and Dustin ran for his life, even as a chorus of howls sounded from the bathroom. He hid behind the
lockers in the hall, but much to his surprise, they didn't follow him.
He looked out from his hiding spot, only to hear many, many more girls screaming.
Damn, Dustin thought, why didn't he see it before?
The three girls Janet infected were wearing gym uniforms. It was time for girls' gym!
