Jennifer was dumbfounded, gaping at the phone like it was a cobra ready to bite her. If the curse was real then the next words out of her mouth could change her life drastically. She drew in a breath, ready to make her decision. "Times up." the voice on the other end of the line stated abruptly "You get both." Jen had missed her chance to decide for herself and was now just a pawn in this freshman's sick revenge scheme. Horrified, she found she could not take the phone away from her ear.
"I've put some thought into this curse so I hope you enjoy it." Kyle sneered "For your transformation you will incrementally change places with your father. The world will change to follow your transformation and you will never know exactly when something will change or how drastic it will be. You will still go to school and your dad will still go to work but everything else is up for grabs. Your mom will also be trying to compete with the maid and the cheerleading squad for your attention so have fun with that. If your dad has a mistress on the side she will start swapping with your boyfriend. Only you and your father will be aware of your own changes but the mistress and the boyfriend will know they are changing if that part of the curse is activated. I'm sure this will cause quite a bit of chaos. Oh and for your dare you can't use the curse to retaliate against me even if you curse somebody else to do it for you. There may be ways around that but I doubt you're smart enough to figure them out. So long and enjoy the gift I've given you."
Jen listened to the entire curse as an oily dirty feeling gripped the pit of her stomach. Switch places with her father but still go to school? What did that even mean? The part about her own mother sent chills down her spine. What a grotesque thing for that little weasel to think up. At the click of the phone signaling that Kyle had hung up Jennifer let the phone drop from her fingers before falling to her knees to sob uncontrollably. Her life was about to be ruined and there was nothing she could do about it.
